Divorce coaching in CalgaryFor the part of divorce no lawyer handles: the thinking.
A lawyer handles the legal file. A therapist handles what you're feeling. Almost no one helps you think — about the decision in front of you this week, the message you're about to send, the pattern you keep repeating, or the version of your life you're quietly trying to protect.
That's what a Walk + Talk is. One hour, walking, in Calgary, with someone who has spent more than 25 years in the hardest moments of other people's separations and has no stake in what you decide.
What brings people here
- You've decided to leave and you don't know how to say it.
- You haven't decided, and you've been circling it for months.
- Every exchange with your ex turns into the same argument in a different outfit.
- You're being told what to do by people who love you and can't see it clearly.
- You want to know whether what you're experiencing is normal or something harder.
- The legal process is moving and you can't tell if you're making good choices inside it.
What actually happens on the walk
You talk. I listen carefully and ask questions — usually the ones nobody has asked you yet. I notice patterns: what repeats, what escalates, what you keep deciding and un-deciding. Most people leave with a clearer read on their own situation and one or two questions worth holding onto.
No scripts. No worksheets. No homework. You are not a case file.
Why walking
Sitting across a desk from someone makes people perform. Walking side by side does the opposite — it's easier to say the true thing when you're looking at a path instead of a face. We start at North Glenmore Park in Calgary and stay on safe, public paved paths.
If you're not in Calgary, a Video + Talk is the same hour by private video, for the same $175.
Where I'm coming from
I'm a former Registered Family Mediator, a high conflict communication specialist, a trainer and speaker, and the author of five books including I'm Done: Take Control of Your High Conflict Divorce and The High Conflict Co-Parenting Survival Guide.
Every conversation happens on the walk or on the video call. Nothing is recorded and nothing is documented. I don't write reports for legal matters, testify, or communicate with third parties. This is a private thinking conversation — not therapy, not counselling, not legal advice.
