Co-parenting coaching in CalgaryFor co-parenting that has become exhausting.
High conflict co-parenting wears people down in a specific way: it's not one crisis, it's a thousand small exchanges. The message that arrives at 11pm. The pickup that becomes an incident. The child who repeats something they shouldn't know.
I wrote the book on this — The High Conflict Co-Parenting Survival Guide — and I've spent more than 25 years inside these situations. A Walk + Talk is one hour to think about yours with someone who has seen the whole pattern before.
What brings people here
- Every message turns into evidence-gathering instead of a conversation.
- You've stopped being able to tell whether you're overreacting.
- You're worried about what your kids are carrying between two houses.
- You want to disengage without disappearing from your own children's lives.
- You need to send something difficult and you don't want it to make things worse.
- You are doing everything right and it still isn't working.
What we work on
Usually it's one of three things: what to say, whether to respond at all, and how to stop the same fight from restarting. I use my own three-part method — Disengage, Decide, Deliver — to slow the exchange down: step back before responding, get clear on what you actually want, and then deliver it in a way that doesn't hand over more fuel.
You can download all three pieces of that method free from my library.
For your kids
I founded Two Homes, One Heart, a program for kids and teens navigating their parents' divorce. When it's useful, we talk about what your children are actually experiencing between two homes — and what you can and can't control there.
How it works
One hour, walking, in Calgary — starting at North Glenmore Park on public paved paths. $175. Outside Calgary, the same hour happens by private video. Optional $100 follow-up letter afterward with what I noticed and the patterns that surfaced.
Every conversation happens on the walk or on the video call. Nothing is recorded and nothing is documented. I don't write reports for legal matters, testify, or communicate with third parties. This is a private thinking conversation — not therapy, not counselling, not legal advice.
Questions people ask
Can you help me with messages to my co-parent?
We can talk through what to say and how to say it during the hour. Andrea does not write, send or review documents for legal purposes, and does not communicate with your co-parent or any third party.
Do you work with both parents together?
No. A Walk + Talk is a private one-on-one thinking conversation, not mediation.
What if my co-parent is high conflict?
That's the situation Andrea specializes in. She is a high conflict communication specialist and a former Registered Family Mediator, and much of her work is with people co-parenting alongside someone who escalates.
Ready to talk?
